Bühler has expanded its plansifter portfolio with the launch of two new brushless sieve cleaners – NovaBlue II and NovaWhite – alongside a dedicated maintenance platform designed to improve safety, ergonomics and cleanliness during sieve stack servicing.
The new sieve cleaners are compatible with all Bühler sieve stack versions, including Nova, NovaTec and NovaPur. They are based on the NovaBlue model introduced in 2017, which has established itself in the market thanks to its brushless comb design and its visual and magnetic detectability.
NovaBlue II features ferrite additives enabling detection via magnetic systems, while the blue material facilitates visual identification. NovaWhite is positioned as an alternative version for comparable applications without magnetic and visual detectability.
According to Bühler, the geometry of the new cleaners has been adapted to improve mobility and increase cleaning performance. The products also feature an easy-to-interpret wear indicator designed to support timely replacement.
The new sieve cleaners are intended not only for wheat flour sifting, but also for applications involving hard wheat, rye and durum.


Maintenance platform for safer servicing
Regular maintenance of sieve stacks in a plansifter is essential for consistently high sifting performance and stable product quality. However, removing sieves is physically demanding and often involves high levels of dust exposure.
Bühler’s new maintenance platform provides an ergonomic working height, can be used flexibly thanks to its castors and features stairs with a platform as a safe alternative to a ladder. Collection containers, inclined catchment surfaces and a dust curtain help ensure a cleaner working area.
Unlike standard off-the-shelf platforms, the maintenance platform has been specifically developed for plansifter maintenance, combining safety, ease of use and industrial robustness.
Key benefits include ergonomically optimised working height, spacious platform, flour collection containers, dust curtain, integrated holders for tools and cleaning equipment, high mechanical stability and suitability for ATEX Zone 22.
The platform was developed in close collaboration between milling technology, research and development, and based on customer project experience.
