BoMill has launched a new high-capacity configuration of its BoMill InSight grain sorting system, doubling the maximum sorting capacity from 15 to 30 metric tonnes per hour while maintaining the same installation footprint.
The new configuration accommodates up to 14 sorting units and features a service-friendly design that allows each unit to be easily slid into a service position for cleaning and maintenance, minimising downtime.
“This launch has been driven by strong demand from both existing customers and new prospects looking to integrate BoMill InSight™ into larger processing lines with an even better return on investment,” said Andreas Jeppsson, CEO of BoMill.
Designed for large-scale processing
The system is specifically developed for in-line installation in flour mills, grain handlers and malthouses. By doubling capacity while maintaining the same footprint, customers can process substantially larger grain volumes with lower investment cost per tonne sorted.
The new configuration is fully compatible with the existing platform, enabling existing customers to upgrade their installed systems. Since the new frame has the same footprint, upgrades are straightforward and cost-efficient, with existing sorting units able to be integrated directly into the new frame.
Technology background
BoMill InSight uses near-infrared transmittance (NIT) technology to sort grain kernels based on internal properties such as protein content, rather than just surface characteristics. The grain sorting technology is applicable to wheat, barley and other grains.
