As part of OCRIM Open Days 2026, Milling and Grain joined more than 300 milling professionals as they arrived at OCRIM S.p.A.M’s brand-new third manufacturing facility on Via Milano, Cremona.
Officially inaugurated on 18 September 2026, the new facility marks a significant milestone in OCRIM’s continued growth, transforming the historic former Piacenza industrial site into a modern production hub. Investing approximately €20 million adds around 20,000 m² of manufacturing and logistics capacity, supporting OCRIM’s expanding global presence.
The official opening saw Sergio Antolini cut the ceremonial red ribbon, a symbolic moment made even more poignant by his heartfelt tribute to his brother, Alberto Antolini, whose vision and leadership helped bring the ambitious project to life. In a moving speech, Sergio reflected on the journey behind the factory’s creation and concluded with words that resonated throughout the evening:
“The ribbon I cut today, therefore, does not separate a ‘before’ from an ‘after’. It brings them together. And I like to think that, within this simple gesture, lies the true meaning of time: to receive, to preserve, to transform, and to pass on. Thank you, Alberto. And thank you all for being here today to share this moment with us.”
The factory floor has not yet received its production machinery.
Instead, the vast space was transformed into a spectacular venue, with elegant dining tables stretching across the pristine production hall. Surrounded by the backdrop of OCRIM’s newest facility, guests enjoyed canapés, crudités, fine Italian wines, and exceptional food while reconnecting with colleagues and friends from around the world.
The entertainment was equally memorable. Stilt walkers, light dancers, and performers captivated the audience throughout the evening, while a beautiful rendition of the Italian national anthem on the violin paid tribute to Cremona’s rich cultural heritage as the birthplace of Antonio Stradivari and the world-famous tradition of violin craftsmanship.
The evening perfectly showcased what OCRIM has become renowned for: combining industrial excellence, innovation, culture, and hospitality in a way few companies can match.
