As part of the OCRIM Open Days 2026 in Cremona, Italy, Milling and Grain joined around 300 flour millers from across the globe for a behind-the-scenes tour of OCRIM S.p.A.’s impressive second production facility, located alongside the city’s Porto Canale. This production site forms part of more than 30,000 m² of manufacturing space dedicated to the design, manufacture and assembly of world-class milling technology.
Before the tour, guests were thoroughly “conditioned and tempered” with generous quantities of San Pellegrino, then carefully conveyed by coach and efficiently discharged at the factory.
No aspiration system was required, although a few millers may have needed pneumatic conveying after the Italian hospitality!
What followed was something rarely seen in modern manufacturing: full access. Visitors were free to roam the workshops, assembly areas and specialist production departments, getting up close to the craftsmanship, engineering and attention to detail that have helped make OCRIM one of the world’s leading milling technology suppliers.
