Amandus Kahl, alongside Reinartz, a KAHL Group company specialising in screw presses and filtration systems, will present feed production as a continuous processing line at EuroTier 2026.
The companies will present the entire production process from 10–13 November 2026 at Booth 12B34, Hall 12, covering everything from raw material conditioning to the pelleting of compound feed and long-fibre raw materials.
According to the company, the process philosophy is reflected in the layout and concept of the trade show booth, with exhibits, floor markings and labels on the display stands illustrating the production process step by step. Depending on the raw material, individual steps place different demands on machines and process control. In compound feed production, hygiene, feed quality and throughput are key. For long-fibre raw materials such as green forage and straw, machines are needed to produce stable pellets while preserving fibre structure, even without pre-grinding.
The interaction between the crushing roller mill WSB2040.1, the expander OE23 and the pellet mill 38-600 is central to compound feed production. The crushing roller mill grinds grains and legumes to the desired particle size. In the expander, the material is treated with pressure, moisture and heat, breaking down plant cells, eliminating pathogenic germs and improving digestibility.
Amandus Kahl states that expander treatment increases the throughput of the downstream pellet mill by 20 to 30 percent. An optional crown outlet promotes a higher proportion of rumen-stable proteins, particularly relevant for feeding cattle and dairy cows. According to the company, the pellet mill 38-600 can handle compound feed and long-fibre raw materials without pre-grinding and at high throughput rates. These processes are suitable for producing traditional compound feed, pet food and aquafeed.
They will also showcase plants for mono-component processing. The crown expander hygienises raw materials such as soybeans and rapeseed, increases their UDP content and improves pellet quality in a single process step. The company is also working on a project involving solid-state fermentation to further refine feed components. For visitors wishing to test new formulations before mass production, the laboratory fluidised bed plant LFB mini S offers a compact development platform for drying, agglomeration, coating and microencapsulation on a batch scale.
“We look forward to professional exchanges at EuroTier and demonstrating our feed production line,” said Karsten Beck, Area Sales Manager at Amandus Kahl. “Together with Reinartz, we’ll show how different processes complement each other in a single production line.”
As a co-exhibitor, Reinartz will showcase technology for extracting oil from oilseeds. The company will exhibit the screw press AP02, which operates without chemical additives and generates minimal frictional heat. According to the company, it extracts high-quality vegetable oils from raw materials such as rapeseed and sunflowers, with the resulting press cake rich in protein and vitamins and suitable for animal feed formulations.
Visitors can meet Amandus Kahl and Reinartz from 10–13 November 2026 in Hall 12, Booth 12B34 at EuroTier in Hanover.
