Organisers of VIV Select China 2027 have added Hall 4 to the exhibition footprint after sales of space in Halls 1 and 2 reached 85 percent of planned capacity within two months of the previous edition closing. The exhibition will now cover three halls at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from 17–19 August 2027, with total exhibition area expected to exceed 55,000 square metres.
The new hall will house zones covering AI and smart farming, an international pavilion, animal health, feed ingredients and additives, farm equipment, feed milling technology, breeding and hatching, and aquaculture. Organisers attributed the expansion to demand across the livestock value chain, with more than 370 exhibitors confirmed and bookings running ahead of previous editions.
Several sectors are reported to be filling quickly. In AI and smart farming, domestic providers of digital farming equipment, AI-based pasture inspection and precision feeding systems have almost completed registration. Exhibitors in animal health, feed ingredients and additives, and feed milling technology have secured more than 80 percent of planned space. Low-carbon farming and environmental control suppliers, together with slaughter and processing companies, are also clustering in prime zones, while the aquaculture pavilion is drawing both new and established suppliers of deep- and open-sea farming equipment, water-quality monitoring and precision nutrition.
The VIV Select China 2027 expansion follows a 2026 edition that recorded 20,300 professional visitors from 113 countries and regions. Organisers describe the event as a two-way platform, positioning it as a gateway for Chinese companies expanding overseas and as a channel for international visitors to access China’s livestock market.
The event is organised by VIV Worldwide, VNU Europe and Globus Events
