Soufflet Malt’s Sophie Godier Elected to SAI Board

Sophie Godier, Chief Sustainability Officer of Soufflet Malt, has been elected to the Board of the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) Platform, recognising her work to advance sustainable agriculture across the food, beverage and agriculture value chain.

A grain industry engineer and farm owner, Godier brings more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and quality management to the role. She leads Soufflet Malt’s global sustainability strategy and contributes to the InVivo Group’s sustainable agriculture roadmap through the Sowing Good Sense Program.

“Sophie has dedicated her career to building stronger connections between farmers, agronomists, customers and the wider food and beverage system,” said Jorge Solis, CEO of Soufflet Malt. “Her appointment is a well-deserved recognition of her expertise, passion and ability. We are proud to see her contributing her experience at this level and helping advance sustainable agriculture globally.”

Role and responsibilities

Godier works closely with agronomic teams and customers across 20 countries to advance regenerative agriculture, sustainable sourcing and climate-smart farming practices. She also drives the company’s Scope 3 emissions ambitions, supports the launch of new low-carbon products and advances field-to-taste traceability solutions.

SAI Platform context

SAI Platform brings together organisations from across the food and agriculture value chain to make sustainable agriculture more practical, collaborative and scalable. InVivo Group, of which Soufflet Malt is part, is a member and actively contributes to its Regenerating Together Program.

Godier joins a newly elected executive board comprising senior leaders from companies including PepsiCo, Danone, Nestlé, ADM, Ingredion, Mondelez and McCain Foods.

“Agriculture is facing challenges that no single organisation can solve alone,” said Godier. “I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to help drive practical solutions that support farmers and strengthen the long-term resilience of our food systems.”
