Grupo Naval Invests US$330M in Angola Agro-Industry

Grupo Naval has announced a US$330 million investment plan at the 41st Luanda International Fair (FILDA) to install seven new agro-industrial processing units in Angola, creating approximately 2000 new jobs, as reported in Marcas em Acção.

According to the report, the Grupo Naval Angola investment – described as the largest in its history – includes a soybean crushing plant for crude oil and meal production, a new wheat mill to expand existing capacity, a maize mill, a rice mill, a biscuit production unit and expanded pasta manufacturing capacity.

The projects are expected to be completed between 2026 and the first half of 2027, according to Hélder Caetano, Director-General of Grupo Naval, as cited by Marcas em Acção. The company’s workforce is expected to grow from approximately 3000 to around 5000 employees.

“The market knows Grupo Naval, recognises the seriousness of our work and is looking forward to what these new investments will bring,” Caetano said, as reported by Marcas em Acção.

The announcement was made at FILDA 2026, where the company’s primary objective was to present its expansion strategy and new industrial projects to the market.
