Ecolex named “Most Innovative Company” at Southeast Asia Innovation Summit

Ecolex Animal Nutrition has received the “Most Innovative Company” award at the Innovation Summit Southeast Asia 2025. The award was presented by the Centre for Market Education and the Tholos Foundation during the summit, which brought together industry professionals from across the region. The recognition highlights Ecolex’s contributions to developing sustainable nutrition technologies for the animal agriculture sector.

Ecolex’s Global Commercial Director, Ed Manchester, accepted the award and said it affirms the company’s focus on food security, feed safety, and environmental responsibility. He added that the recognition strengthens Ecolex’s role as a partner for corporations, research institutions, distributors, and users in the sector.

During the summit, Manchester also delivered a keynote on “Innovation, Commodities and Food Security,” where he outlined a four-pillar strategy for sustainable animal protein production: biosecurity, use of local raw materials, feed efficiency, and antibiotic stewardship. He identified biosecurity as the top priority in Southeast Asia due to the impact of diseases such as African Swine Fever and Avian Influenza on supply chains and protein availability.

Manchester explained that using local crops and agricultural byproducts can reduce dependence on imports and lower transport emissions. He also highlighted feed efficiency as a tool to reduce costs and environmental impact. Ecolex supports antibiotic stewardship by developing feed additives that improve gut health and reduce the need for antibiotics.

One such product, Lipo ZAP, uses emulsification technology to enhance the effectiveness of natural antimicrobial agents. According to Manchester, this has led to improved animal performance and reduced disease without antibiotics. The company’s solutions also help optimise the nutritional value of local ingredients.

Ecolex continues to support producers aiming for antibiotic-free animal protein while addressing environmental and economic demands.
