Over 100 delegates from 25 countries attended the Ecolex Innovative Nutrition Forum in Bangkok on 11 March, 2025, during VIV Asia week. The event, focused on animal nutrition, sustainable production, and innovative feed solutions, brought together global experts to discuss the future of the industry.
Edward Manchester, Global Commercial Director for Ecolex Animal Nutrition, emphasized the importance of innovation in addressing the challenges of tomorrow. Dr. Carmelo Ferlito underscored the role of sustainability and technology in the growth of global animal production towards 2030.
Key presentations covered a range of topics, including Dr Mike Button’s strategies for optimising feed formulations with reduced environmental impact. Prof. Julian Wiseman shared insights on lipid nutrition’s role in animal health and productivity, while Ms. Chia-Ning Lee discussed gastrointestinal health management. Dr. Josh Chiu focused on emulsification technologies and methane mitigation, and Dr. Osamu Sunaga addressed ketosis and negative energy balance in ruminants.


Breakout sessions included Mr. Piet Verstrate’s focus on lipid nutrition in aquaculture and health strategies for aquatic species. Ms. Stefanie Moller presented on the integration of insect proteins like black soldier fly meal.
