Alltech will release the 2026 edition of its ‘Asia Import Risk Analysis’ on 26 March 2026, providing feed and livestock producers in Asia with insights to optimise nutritional strategies and manage mycotoxin risks. Now in its fifth edition, the report uses data from the Alltech Harvest Analysis, translating harvest trends from Europe and the Americas into actionable guidance for import-dependent markets.
Nick Adams, commercial director of Alltech’s Technology Group, said the report helps producers navigate increasing mycotoxin risks in corn and forages caused by climate pressures and variable weather patterns. “Imported ingredients carry compounded risks. This report equips producers … to protect animal health and performance,” he said.
Key findings from the 2025 harvest include:
- Europe: Drought followed by late rainfall increased fungal pressure, creating strong regional variability. Livestock impact varied by species and combined exposure to multiple mycotoxins.
- United States: Corn faced contrasting stresses, with excessive rainfall in the west and drought in the east, shifting overall risk westward compared with 2024.
- Canada: Corn silage showed widespread multi-toxin contamination, including DON, zearalenone, and T2-HT2 toxins, with peak levels doubling versus 2024.
- Brazil: Fumonisins and DON were prevalent, with moderate risk for grow-finish pigs.
