Two final applications confirmed for the GRAPAS Innovations Awards

The GRAPAS Innovations Awards have now reached their deadline- and 15 total applicants have confirmed their involvement in the awards!

Since last week, two new companies have confirmed their involvement:

Petkus- OptoSelector 901t

Petkus developed in OptoSelector 901t a unified system of analysis combining the full-color RGB method and a special light transmission method based on the translucent features of the seeds.

This was made possible through the use of a special lighting system, which is characterised by intensive, software controlled light source, exact focusing and perfect homogenization of light across the entire working width of 900mm. Along with this, highly sensitive optical sensors are used to capture residual light passing through the grains. As a result, OS 901t has the ability to sort grains using full-color RGB analysis, analysis of geometrical parameters, as well as analysis on the basis of the light transmission method of objects in a single pass through a machine with a capacity of up to 15 t/h.

iGrain- iG-HACCP-App

The iGrain HACCP App is designed based on CO2 monitoring, and can work with any CO2 sensor with data access, and is not limited to the iGRAIN CO2 sensor, the iGrain Sniffer.
This makes it easy for grain managers to utilise CO2 monitoring (and can also integrate other sensory information like temperature monitoring) to its fullest extent and get a validated measure of the grain quality. The app communicates to the grain manager to QC systems (HACCP), and gives definite answers regarding the grain quality condition.
It reports the true grain condition and shows how safe it is with the risk factor.
It gives both an absolute quality mark (the risk factor) and lists all bins 'worst to best' so grain managers can take the right decision about which bin to focus on and make operational decisions about.

These two latest applications join the 13 other final applicants we have for GRAPAS:

Now, our GRAPAS Innovations Awards applicants will be delivering presentations at the GRAPAS Conference, to be judged by our panel of international judges, before we decide our winner(s) for the GRAPAS Innovations Awards!

Join us in Cologne, Germany on June 13th, 2019 for a full day of informative and innovative presentations from the milling industry's best and brightest! Learn about the latest in milling innovations and get your chance to vote on the best product on the market! Hear all 15 10-minute pioneering milling presentations on our one-day conference!

Confirmed speakers at the GRAPAS Conference include Mr George Marriage of NABIM and Marriage's Millers, as well as Marie Haga, Executive Director of the Crop Trust, the international crop preservation organisation. Members from Bühler, Brabender, Selis, Dinnissen, Balaguer Rolls, Bruks Siwertell and more are also confirmed to be speaking about their innovative food technology machinery.
