Symaga Upgrades Feed Silos with S450GD Steel

Symaga has announced significant upgrades to its feed silo range, introducing S450GD structural steel and expanding its Ø3.80 metre diameter models as part of the company’s Annual Product Development Plan.

From August, the company will replace S350GD steel with S450GD in its feed silos. The new steel offers a higher yield strength, increasing from 350N/mm² to 450N/mm², which improves mechanical performance and structural strength.

The company states that the change also improves raw material availability and simplifies procurement management, contributing to a more robust and efficient supply chain. During the transition period, both steel types may be used to ensure continuity of supply.

Expanded capacity options

Symaga is also expanding its feed silo range with new Ø3.80 metre diameter models, offering capacity of up to 86 cubic metres. The new configurations provide greater storage capacity to accommodate different farm sizes, feeding systems and storage requirements.

The Symaga feed silo upgrades reflect the company’s commitment to continuous product evolution, delivering more durable materials and a wider range of options to improve day-to-day performance for livestock operations.

Symaga states that the improvements make its S450GD feed silos “an increasingly comprehensive, efficient solution, ready to meet the needs of modern livestock farming.”
