Nurym Group expanded its feed production capacity significantly this year, with another greenfield feed mill project becoming operational in April. The mill has a production capacity of 20 tons per hour (TPH) and is one of the largest in Kazakhstan and its neighbouring countries.
Located in Shymkent, the mill operates 24 hours a day in three shifts. It makes about 480 tonnes of high-quality feed daily for cattle, poultry, and small animals.
Imas delivered the project as a comprehensive turnkey solution, covering all aspects from plant design and process engineering to manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and training.
The feed mill has complete machinery and equipment. One standout machine is the Viteral series high-capacity pellet press (VPP), which can process up to 30 tonnes per hour. It features an intuitive touchscreen panel that simplifies the management of key parameters like time and temperature.
Another impressive machine is the Viteral series paddle mixer (VMX), which is known for its efficiency and performance. Independent laboratory tests have shown that the VMX excels in rapid mixing tests, reaching top scores in sample homogeneity.
The Viteral hammer mill (VHM) also emphasises efficiency and durability. It can produce up to 50 tons per hour. Its unique pre-crushing blades and fixed hammer system contribute to improved performance.
Nurmy Group’s new feed mill runs through a central automation system, allowing for integrated monitoring of the entire process from intake to packaging. This system provides real-time production quantities, yields, and resource consumption data, ensuring greater operational transparency.
The latest automation technology also enables Imas’s after-sales team to remotely connect to the plant for technical support, including troubleshooting and maintenance assistance whenever needed.
