You have been with Addcon Nordic for over 17 years, most recently as Managing Director. What has your journey with the company taught you about the feed additives industry, and what key experiences have prepared you for this new role as CEO of Addcon?
During my time in Addcon I have had different roles which have given me the privilege to work closely with good colleagues, customers and partners in all of Addcon’s business areas. I have learned that success in our industries comes from understanding customer needs, delivering consistent quality and staying close to the market.
These experiences have prepared me well for the CEO role. I understand both our markets and our people, and I have seen how Addcon’s commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation has helped us grow. My focus as CEO is to build on these strengths while positioning the company for its next phase of growth.
Addcon’s mission is “leading the innovation in Green Chemistry.” How do you see this mission guiding the company’s strategy in the coming years, particularly in the animal feed sector?
Our mission remains highly relevant and important for our strategy. Green Chemistry is not only about sustainability, it is also about developing smarter and more efficient solutions that benefit customers, animals and the environment at the same time.
In the animal feed sector, we see significant opportunities to use our expertise in organic acids and preservation technologies to support more sustainable and efficient production. Producers are under increasing pressure to improve feed efficiency, reduce waste and lower their environmental footprint.
The feed additives market is facing challenges around sustainability, regulation and raw material costs. What do you see as the biggest opportunities for Addcon to create value for customers and address these challenges?
The challenges facing our industry are real, but they also create opportunities for companies that can deliver proven value. Customers need reliable partners more than ever.
I see a great opportunity for Addcon to create value through solutions that improve feed quality, reduce losses and help customers operate more efficiently. Our role is to turn challenges into practical, measurable benefits for our customers.
One example, especially in markets across Asia, LatAm and Africa, is still the replacement of AGP to produce and provide healthy and sustainable animal proteins. As a specialist in organic acid-based additives and supplements, Addcon can contribute highly to this replacement with various solutions for all species such as poultry, dairy, beef and swine, as well as aquaculture. The same applies with our Feed Mill Hygiene and Feed Moisture Optimisation programmes, which bring not only proven sustainability benefits for animal feed production but also clear benefits for the environment and ecosystem.
The recent appointments within the Esseco Industrial group reflect a clear direction for integrated growth. How does Addcon fit into this broader vision, and what synergies do you expect to benefit from as part of the group?
Being part of Esseco gives Addcon an even stronger platform for growth and innovation.
Addcon contributes with expertise in organic acids, feed preservation and sustainable chemical solutions, which complement the broader capabilities of the group. At the same time, being part of a larger industrial organization provides access to additional technical resources, international networks and strategic opportunities.
I see significant potential in strengthening collaboration across the group, sharing knowledge and leveraging synergies in areas such as innovation, production, procurement, sustainability initiatives and market development.
Looking ahead five years, what is your vision for Addcon? How do you plan to build on the company’s reputation for quality and innovation to drive growth in key markets?
My ambition for Addcon in the feed area is to be even more recognised as the preferred partner for sustainable preservation and feed solutions in our key markets.
We will continue to build on our reputation for quality and innovation while expanding our global reach. Most importantly, I want us to remain a company that is trusted by customers, valued by employees and known for delivering solutions that make a real difference.
We have an excellent team of colleagues, and I am sure we will succeed!
