The global grain and food processing industry will converge in Istanbul next year as IDMA Istanbul 2026 prepares to welcome thousands of professionals for one of the sector’s most influential international gatherings. Scheduled for June 25–27, 2026, at the Istanbul Exhibition Centre, the 11th edition of the International Mill Machinery and Technologies Fair aims to strengthen global partnerships, drive innovation and contribute an estimated US$1 billion in new trade volume.
IDMA Istanbul 2026 will be a major platform for the flour, feed, maize, semolina, rice, bulgur, pulses, pasta, and biscuit processing industries, bringing together more than 300 exhibitors and more than 10,000 professional visitors from more than 100 countries. Delegations from more than 60 nations will also be present at the exhibition, offering a wealth of chances for international cooperation, export growth, and business networking.
IDMA, which is run by HAGE Group, has developed into a worldwide forum for talking about the future of grain and food processing, going beyond a conventional trade show. The IDMA Global Grain & Milling Forum, which will take place concurrently with the expo, will bring together experts and leaders in the industry to discuss important topics like automation, artificial intelligence, sustainable production, food safety, supply chain resilience, and next-generation milling technology.

Turkey’s position as a major center for grain processing and milling technologies is strengthened by its advantageous location between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The nation continues to play an important role in the global grain value chain as the world’s top exporter of flour, shipping almost three million tonnes of flour in 2024.
Future prospects appear to be expanding based on industry trends. The International Grains Council predicts that food security investments, urbanisation, and rising demand for cutting-edge processing technology in growing countries throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia will propel additional growth in the world’s flour trade.
With over 12,000 industrial flour mills processing over 570 million tonnes of wheat yearly, the sector is becoming more and more concerned with sustainability, digitisation, energy efficiency, and traceability. IDMA Istanbul 2026 seeks to strengthen Istanbul’s standing as a global hub for grain and food processing innovation while offering a road map for the industry’s next stage of expansion through technology launches, networking events, buyer programs, and expert forums.
