Brazilian companies in the animal protein processing sector secured €27.94 million in completed and expected deals during their participation in IPPE 2025, held from 28 to 30 January in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks an 80% increase from last year’s total of €15.67 million.
The deals were facilitated by the Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) export promotion project, a collaboration between the Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association (ABIMAQ) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Thirteen companies took part in the event, showcasing machinery and technology for animal protein processing.
The 2025 edition of the event featured two separate pavilions for machinery and equipment, which allowed Brazilian manufacturers to optimise exposure and attract buyers from Latin America, United States, and Germany. The layout contributed to a successful business environment, according to Patrícia Gomes, Executive Director of Foreign Market at ABIMAQ.
“This result is significant for expanding Brazil’s global share in the animal protein processing market and reinforcing the country’s position as a supplier of high-productivity machinery,” Gomes said.
IPPE, the world’s largest annual event for the industry, serves as a key platform for networking and expanding business opportunities. It draws participants from over 130 countries, and its focus includes technology, equipment, and services used in animal protein production and processing.
The US remains the second-largest consumer of animal protein globally, and in 2024, the Brazil Machinery Solutions pavilion saw a notable 11.5% growth in Brazilian exports, with the US as the sixth-largest export destination, totalling €97.95 million.
