Andritz to deliver complete feed plant to Alwadi Poultry Farms, Saudi Arabia

International technology group Andritz has secured a contract to deliver a complete feed mill to Alwadi Poultry Farms Company in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. The facility, with a total capacity of 90 tonnes per hour, is scheduled to begin operations in the first half of 2026.

The new plant will produce poultry and ruminant feed, with two production lines dedicated to poultry feed (60 TPH) and one to ruminant feed (30 TPH). Andritz will provide full process lines from raw material intake to finished product. The delivery includes hammer mills, mixers, pellet mills, and crumblers, with major components manufactured in Europe. The agreement also covers installation supervision, commissioning, and local after-sales support.

Alwadi Poultry Farms, established in 1975, is one of Saudi Arabia’s major poultry producers, involved in breeding, hatcheries, feed production, and processing. The investment supports the company’s strategy to increase production and improve feed quality.

Khalid Alsanie, General Manager of Alwadi, said the decision followed a technical and financial review by an internal team. Andritz was selected for its equipment quality and technical offering.

Michael Lierau, Senior Vice President at Andritz Feed & Biofuel, said the project supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance food self-sufficiency under Vision 2030 and strengthens the company’s footprint in the Middle East and Africa.
