The 2021 Edition will focus on the challenges of global grains, oilseed and rice trade as well as building the resilience of the sector for a sustainable food system.

The programme contains 4 orientation sessions:

-A session on economic growth and other macroeconomic factors impacting  the grain and oilseed markets;

- A session will deal with the patterns of trade policies on agricultural commodities to develop the integrated value chain and its nexus with short supply chain;

- A session will discuss the financing of adaptation to climate change (financial tools, relationships within the value chain, upstream sector initiatives);

- A session on trade finance (dependence of trade against the dollar, risk-hedging solution as trade facilitation tools, support policy in the face of trade risk).

The second day is dedicated to commodities workshop to incentivise debates between market experts and companies to share views about the next marketing year 2021/22. The commodities workshops would cover rice, maize, oilseeds and wheat. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about market development, market sentiment and further develop business contacts.
